Important Note on COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

We want to take a moment to share with you the precautions that Fairview Pediatrics is taking as a practice to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). We are obtaining our information each day from the CDC as well as Department of Public Health.

Situations will continue to shift daily; however, we wanted to alert you of the most up to date information as it pertains to our families.

Measures to protect our families and keep our staff healthy:

  • Increased attention to detail with cleaning and sanitizing surfaces in the office (specifically, door handles, light switches, dispensers, etc.).
  • Increased hand washing.
  • Visitors are being asked to use hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the building.

Changes in routines:

Until further notice, we are not offering walk-in appointments. Please call to speak with the triage nurse, and you will be given an appointment or advice over the phone.

  • Our nurse is triaging each and every sick call to ensure proper care for each family.
  • Each call is being screened for COVID-19.
  • Families are being asked to limit each visit to 1 adult entering the building, and to keep siblings at home when possible.
  • Staff are being asked to stay home if presenting with a fever, cough, or shortness of breath.
  • Staff are practicing hand washing and hand sanitizing throughout the day.
  • Exam rooms are thoroughly cleaned in between each patient.

We have divided our waiting area into two areas: one for sick and one for well. Families with newborns may sit in an entirely different area of the building, away from the waiting area.

Anyone who comes in with positive screening questions will enter through a different doorway or possibly be seen outdoors.

We are here to serve our patients. We are doing everything we possible can to prevent the spread of illness in our area. Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions at all.

Also, if a routine request takes a bit longer than expected, please be patient with us. We are trying our best to handle all calls in a timely manner.
